At Yocum Institute, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, create, and grow through the arts. Scholarships help open doors to meaningful arts education for individuals and families in our community.

Steps to Apply for a Scholarship

Submit financial documentation to our office at 3000 Penn Ave, West Lawn
Financial information includes the most recent tax return as well as paystubs for ALL MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD. Applications without financial support documentation will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.
Complete applications are reviewed by our Scholarship Committee in the order in which they are received.
The application process takes 2-4 weeks to complete depending on when financial information is received.
Scholarships take effect on the date of approval and remain valid for the duration of the class, workshop, or program for which they were awarded. Families must reapply for scholarships for any subsequent classes, workshops, or programs.
Scholarships are not retroactive, so please account for the turnaround time when planning to register for a class.
Families will be notified of application status once it has been reviewed.

Summer Camp Scholarships: Complete scholarship applications for the upcoming camp season are due by May 1. Applications received after the deadline will still be considered based on the availability of funds. Applicants may request assistance for one to five weeks of camp and must clearly indicate their preferred cam weeks on the application.

Scholarships are awarded annually and limited to one course per students per session/semester. At the end of each session continuation of the scholarship for subsequent session based upon instructor’s evaluation. *Please note that the funds are limited and applying does not guarantee funding.
