Yocum Theater Ensembles

Yocum's Theater Ensembles are designed for young actors who are serious about becoming stronger, more confident actors. Throughout the year, ensemble members build their skills through scene study, improvisation, and performance opportunities while exploring a wide variety of plays, genres, and acting styles.

Students are encouraged to take creative risks, make bold choices, strengthen their acting technique, and develop the focus, discipline, and collaboration skills that great actors need. More than just a class, the ensemble experience creates an artistic community where every actor is seen, valued, challenged, and supported.

Ensemble members also have opportunities to participate in special projects such as staged readings, the Play-Me-a-Story series, and other theatrical performances and events. They receive priority consideration for casting in Yocum's Primary Stages productions and have opportunities to participate in Young Performer Series productions as performers, assistants, and members of the creative team.
