Exhibiting Artists

Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers. Ushers, help with organizing (art supplies, costumes, props, etc.), clean-up and turnaround between events, summer camps and many other areas. If you are someone who is willing to donate your time, and/ or a student who needs community service hours please contact Adam Void with your age (if under 18), what you are interested in helping with and your general availability. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Teaching Artists

Teaching artist resumes are accepted on an ongoing basis in all disciplines. Please contact Susan Rohn, Executive Director with your interest. All teachers must have PA Child Abuse, Criminal History clearances, and FBI background checks to qualify for any of these positions.

Preschool Teachers and Aides

Ongoing applications for the school year programs for aides and teachers are accepted. All teachers must have PA Child Abuse, Criminal History clearances, and FBI background checks to qualify for any of these positions. For more information, please contact Elsa Mierzejewski.

Summer Camp Teachers and Aides

Applications for Aides to assist in the daily running of summer camp and Teachers in all art forms are welcomed and will be reviewed. Everyone who works with children at the Yocum Institute must have PA Child Abuse, Criminal History clearances, and FBI background checks to qualify for any of these programs. Most positions are filled by mid February, please contact Andrea Hart for more information.

Outreach Programs

The Yocum Institute offers multi-discipline programs at offsite locations. The majority of these occur during school hours and/or immediately after school. The positions are part-time. Neighborhood Bridges requires a training/co-teaching period. All teachers must have PA Child Abuse, Criminal History clearances, and FBI background checks to qualify for any of these programs. Theater Opportunities

Want to work behind the scenes? Some of our upcoming productions are still finalizing their teams. If you are interested in: directing, music directing, choreography, set design, set construction, performance musicians, stage managing, props management, costume design, being a stitcher or front of house positions. Most positions paid as a stipend. Upcoming productions include touring shows, outdoor productions, and an indoor black box space.

The ideal candidate(s) will be able to adhere to a timeline, think abstractly, be self-motivated and directed, and have excellent communication skills. If applying for any design position, please include images of your previous work and notate which elements you were responsible for creating. All applicants should include at least 2 professional references. Please send all requested materials with a cover letter and resume to Andrea Hart.
